Engaging the Season of Lent works on me.
My inclination is toward remembering past failures and beating myself up. In today’s reading Jesus says, “Take eat this is my body.” He reminds me that He is in me, always there for me.
Jesus says “this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sin.” He reminds me I am forgiven, covered in his blood. When I am aware of this reality, guilt and shame and remorse are replaced by repentance, gratitude, and joy. I have a chance, with God’s help, to live out my faith present in a series of Easter moments.
I pray God will send his Holy Spirit to help me stay radically dependent on Christ for forgiveness, nurture, and direction as I live my life.

I love the idea of “Easter moments”, ever reminded, a mental resurrection if you will, of God’s presence.
Thanks for sharing Adair; and thank you for being my year three partner!
