The Right Time
“And who knows, perhaps you were born for such a time as this” (Esther 4:14).
God’s hand is not always immediately obvious in our lives. Whether it’s the mundane day to day tasks or the occasional trial or even crisis, we easily wonder “Why did this happen?” or “Where is God?”. Nothing is truly coincidental. God’s timing is always perfect and His sovereignty and faithfulness permeates every scene of our lives. We are given our moment in history and our place upon the earth because this is the time and the setting when we can draw closer to God if we choose to seek Him.

Tolkien had Gandalf speak to this in Lord of the Rings:
“I wish it need not have happened in my time,” said Frodo. “So do I,” said Gandalf, “and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.”
Thank Mary Anne for reminding me that “this is the time and the setting when we can draw closer to God”.
Andrew, I love that.
I wish that we did not have to worry about war and nuclear weapons and pregnant women and families being killed.
However, circling back, this is the time that we have been given to BE Christ in our world, and to:do whatever we can to make a difference.
We really have no other choice if we want to be true to what we believe.
oh to be fully open to His timing and not to miss the oportunities He presents to us .
Thanks , Mary Anne
